I am appalled by the conditions for children & families in detention centers & have expressed my outrage to the Trump administration, held oversight hearings & supported legislation to tackle the humanitarian crisis.

Even the Department of Homeland Security's own Inspector General has called for immediate action – children without hot meals or a place to rest for days on end.
