    Each stamp on this sheet shows an illustration of the James Webb Space Telescope with its hexagonal golden mirrors and tennis-court-size sunshield against a starscape. The selvage photograph shows the rays of a bright star against dark and distant space taken by the telescope early in its mission, confirming the alignment of the Webb's 18 mirror segments. Art director Derry Noyes was the designer for the stamp project using existing art by James Vaughan and an image provided by NASA/STScI. Image credit: USPS
