Also on display, Confederate Admiral Buchanan’s sword handed to Farragut after the battle Buchanan wore the same USN sword through his career. Farragut’s son Loyall later returned it to Buchanan’s widow. The sword was gifted to the museum by Franklin Buchanan Sullivanpic.twitter.com/z7yRYIExYl

Pretty sure torpedo was the term for naval mines back then. Modern torpedos weren't invented until late in WWI I believe.
