with new Salary law going into effect, can your employer take salary away and place you on hourly to avoid overtime?

Hourly employees are entitled to overtime, so no that wouldn't work for them

My daughter is salary but under $40,000 her employer wants to now place her on hourly to avoid the paying the OT.

I don't think he understands the law. If he makes her hourly and she works over 40 hours, he'll owe overtime on the extra time
