I find this a bit lacking of information. Why are button cell batteries dangerous? The shape? The risk of electric shock? The chemicals? Are they on the same risk level of say (actual) buttons of the same size?

A kid at the hospital my sons go to has a tracheostomy due to button cell. I believe it shorted in esophagus and caused permanent damage from burns.
