Hey Sea Shanty Groundhog... questions about my space heater... can I leave it on when I sleep if it has a safety shutoff for tipping over? What if I set the timer? What if I’m super cold? Also can I plug it into one of those 3-outlet add an outlet thingies? Or is that still bad?

I similarly wonder if the power strip advice is because there's so many bad ones. Would a quality surge protector that self-terminates when its protection circuitry when it wears out be ok?
