we live in a travel trailer (from jayco) the entire thing is like 300 sq ft. the smoke alarm is basically in the kitchen, about 8 feet from the stove. it’s gone off with the vent fan on and even the kitchen window open a bit. nothing is visibly smoking.
Smoke alarms shouldn’t be installed within 10ft of cooking appliances. The national standard is inside and outside of places where people sleep. Some good news is that there’s a new UL standard coming for smoke alarms that’s supposed to reduce these nuisance alarms from cooking
