Keep your space heater at least 3ft away from anything flammable. Always plug it into the wall, never a power strip. Turn it off before you go to sleep.pic.twitter.com/viTRszhANt

A giant space heater is chasing a woman on a motorcycle and Potato the dog. The text reads: Space heaters need space. Keep your space heater at least 3ft away from anything flammable.

if it has a timer built in, you can set it for like, 30 mins or something but its genuinely dangerous to leave one running unattended

I've never understood why you shouldn't plug it into a power strip, wouldn't that be safer? it would flip off if things went wrong?

Most extension cords are not rated for or able to deal with the heat that space heaters produce. They are likely to overheat and catch on fire.
