Button cell batteries can be deadly for young children if they are ingested. Check your children’s toys, light-up tutus, garments, and costumes to ensure that they require a tool, such as a screwdriver, to open and that they are secured properly.pic.twitter.com/9vvAe1s7eH

A tiny button battery with a face waving. The text reads: Hi. I'm dangerous. Button batteries can cause dangerous chemical burns just 2 hours after being swallowed. Throw out dead button batteries. Keep new batteries locked up in a container out of reach of kids.

You’re just saying we shouldn’t eat them because you know that upon tasting the fruit of the button cell battery we will become like unto a god.

Button batteries can also react with other button batteries, causing chemical burns or possibly starting fires. You should also do PSAs on safe storage and disposal as well.

There is a demo showing the effects of a swallowed battery (using some ham as a stand in) on the BBC website here https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-37410343 … Keep them away from kids as they are incredibly dangerous if swallowed.
