CPSC is asking the public to check for these chests in your home or store, and remove the latch/lock immediately. Not all chests will look like the ones pictured. If the chest’s latch or lock engages automatically when the lid is shut, the parts should be removed. 2/3

Damn I've got one of those -- it was my mother's and she got it ahead of her wedding in 1942. Raised all three of my kids with it in my home and they are safely adults now; glad we didn't have any accidents (they were taught not to play with Grandma's chest).
