Updated information on the College Admissions Issue: • USC has placed holds on the accounts of students who may be associated with the alleged admissions scheme; this prevents the students from registering for classes or acquiring transcripts while their cases are under review

As an alum, here are my thoughts: All students associated with this cheating ring should be immediately expelled because, quite simply, they did not get into USC on their own merits. USC can and should do the right thing.

👊👍As an alum, I concur. Just because they are already enrolled does not entitle them to remain if they got into the university under false pretenses.

Are you telling me that only ONE administrator in the athletic department keeps account of who is being classified in admissions as an athlete? Nobody else compares a list of students accepted as athletes and students on active rosters? Seriously???

The question is how many cheaters have passed through the system in it's history. This devalues all USC academic degrees.

Will this potentially open more spots for students? It's a shame that you'll send thousands of acceptances to applicants who never intended to go to USC, yet thousands more will never be considered. 😞 why not ask if USC is a first choice school as one of the determining factors?

Most of the time they do. Especially for scholarships.

What about students that already graduated? They should get their degree revoked. If someone gets caught stealing money they don’t get to keep it....

I don't believe for one second that the Administration did not know. This might be a good time to clean house and get back on the right path. If not, this might not end well. Once witnesses flip, investigations are going to grow & so will prosecutions.
