My great-grandmother Mary Thomas, born in 1865, was the child of a slave. That's just three generations back from me. In America, eliminating racial discrimination requires a reckoning with our history of slavery, and the suffering and violence passed down through generations.

Today, on the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and Transatlantic Slave Trade, we honor the memory of my great grandmother and so many others by joining together to root out the lasting legacies of that oppression.pic.twitter.com/745M0sNDM9

Thank You Greenfield and great grandmother Let’s change the lasting legacy to the last legacy. Such a despicable history. We must not repeat that. If that happens in the world, America is the one to voice and mend. God helps you.

Others believe slavery is over but as for me, I don't. As long the White race feels more supremacy than the black race, there would still be slavery in different forms.

#SusanRice is a descendant of African slaves who has inflicted much harm upon Africans. -Ask the #Ethiopia|ns where she got her $150 million loot? -Ask the Rwandans how her refusal to help fueled the genocide. -Ask the Palestinians about her utter lack of regard for them.
