(1/4) The United States is committed to bringing about an end to conflict in Afghanistan through a political settlement that ensures this country remains sovereign, unified & democratic, is at peace with itself and its neighbors & can preserve gains made over the last 19 years.

(2/4) The first phase of Afghanistan Peace Negotiations in Doha constituted an important step forward, but much remains to be done. The United States remains firm in its call for an immediate reduction of violence & ceasefire.

(3/4) Ambassador Khalilzad and I have talked & will continue to talk with Afghans about the need to accelerate the talks in Doha & solicited from those we have met their ideas, as well as their concerns.

(4/4) We have not advocated, and the United States is not advocating, an interim government. The outcomes of Afghanistan Peace Negotiations are up to Afghans & we believe those outcomes should reflect the wishes & aspirations of the Afghan people.

Your govt actively campaigned & put pressure on Afghan people and state to release 5000 criminals and terrorists, who have restarted shedding blood on our streets. That was against our wishes and aspirations you’re still trying in vain to create an illusion of peace or success.

Not all people, only Pashtunwaley and its fascist system. There is another year called 2001 as well. Why Pashtunwaley always refer to 1992 and just not talk about 2001 when it comes to interim government? The system has failed and doesn’t yield so it has to change.

The U.S. has not only been advocating an interim government but also empowered the Taliban and weakened the Afghan government.

Thank you Mr. ambassador! The only way to bring peace is to support and enforce the current legitimate government of Afghanistan. Interim government has a bad reputation in Afghanistan and will have a negative outcomes.

If US don't advocating an interim government, then Mr. Khalilzad has to behave as a responsible diplomat don't try to execute his personal interest. He should stop working with corrupt politicians which are not in favor of Afghanistan also to apologise from Afghanistan gov.

Then you need to sue #Khalilzad for pursuing his personal agenda in #AfghanPeaceProcess. Sources close to #Afghan politicians already exposed to media that Khalilzad discussed with them interim government as a potential option.
