The Santa Fe shooter was 'mistreated' at school, according to his father. But is bullying to blame for the killings? Pundits and readers debate. https://usat.ly/2GDOR1f  (via @usatodayopinion)pic.twitter.com/KG9YvcxT8A

Harassing a young lady for months and being repeatedly turned down is not bullying. Somehow the young lady harassed didn’t shoot down students.

Bullies didn’t kill 10 people. It was a kid with his father’s gun. Kid should be charged with 1st degree murder and father charged with either negligent homocide or manslaughter. Father bears some responsibility in the killings with his guns.

He's 17, his brain isn't fully developed especially the frontal lobe where reason lies. Children aren't equipped with coping skills due to the fact that parents are doing everything for them instead of letting them fail so they can acquire those skills.

Maybe your reality. But bullying is no joke and is the cause of many children going over the edge or committing suicide. It should not be made light of. And to do so means you have no idea what it is to be bullied day after day after day after day.

And I see your answer is to coddle kids so they have no real world experience when real world situations teach you how to reason. Making light that kids today don’t have these skills because some parents think their kids are so special they deserve a trophy is not bullying.

I did not give you an answer. You jump from bullying to somebody didn’t get their participation trophy. So all these kids who committed suicide, it’s their fault because they can’t handle “real world” situations ? Or their parents fault because they didn’t prepare their kids?
