Truck drivers don't make 53000 a year to start, more like 40000 a year if your lucky.

I'm surprised more people don't become truck drivers. You get to be by yourself all day, see the world. If you have to unload, it can be good exercise. Plus the pay is bangin and most work 4 days a week.
-
And never see your family. Stop in a truck stop one day. It’s not a pretty sight.
-
Local drivers go home everyday. Not every trucking job is across the country.
-
Agreed, but your comment said see the world. I’m assuming you meant country. Local drivers aren’t doing that. Many here sit in congested traffic all day and eat fast food daily.
-
I don't think drivers eat fast food everyday. But what do I know? I only work with about 150 of them. Most love it but don't enjoy the labor from unloading bc it's hard on your body. Every job has it's downside but you certainly see more being in a truck then in a cubicle.
