Ask the local school district and they will tell you birth rates are down, so much so they're re-organizing schools to account for a lack of students.
-
Not in my district. Just built a new high school 5 years ago, now we need a third!
-
Wow, your district must be bucking the trend. I live in NE Ohio, and enrollments are down.
-
We have the #1 public High school in Alabama in Madison, and all of our schools are awesome. Of course that has to do with science research that is prevalent in our district and the clientele is very academic.

Because people are waiting till their financial state is what they want. Problem is, is that you got older parents who cannot really do much with their children because their are older and their bodies cannot keep up.
-
Well that’s better than having kids when you can’t afford to raise them, isn’t it?
-
Yes and no. When one begins to say affording a child, as opposed to just say having one, I question that individual's reason for even having one. Different vibe.

I just turned 26 and have a 5 month old. Couldn't imagine doing this in my 40s. Ideally, all my kids will be out of the house by the time my husband and I are in our mid-late 40s.
