A car being driven by a human swerved to avoid another human-driven car and crashed into the self-driving van.http://ow.ly/GCgI30jQT3i

Let’s pause and reflect on how weird it is that we have to specify that 2 of the cars were being driven by humans. #21stcenturyproblems

Welcome to 2018 where we have to specify if it was a human or robot driving.

So did the nonhuman cars’ systems not respond quick enough, could an undistracted human been able to avoid the wreck...just saying since “ionlyreadtheheadlines”

So it's the human's mistake this time? That's kinda good, I think.

The argument exists that self-driving cars are completely "reactive" and cannot anticipate other driver's actions. Even with faster response times via sensors and electronics, these vehicles cannot anticipate danger in advance and take preemptive measures

Until AI improves significantly, what we may end up seeing as a result are "autonomous" lanes along major highways instead of mixing drivers and "driverless".

And all the f-ing astroturf on this article on behalf of the self-driving industry is pathetic. We know you don't give a ---- about "humans" or what happens to them as long as you make $.

GTFO. The self driving cars are unsafe, mindless and can't respond to real life traffic conditions. We blame @dougducey for letting these accidents happen and risking Arizonans.

Why is this news? The self-driving vehicle did nothing wrong. The humans in the other cars did. This is a pointless story.
