Everyone who has student loan debt suffers the same challenge. They know when they take it on how much they have to pay and the salaries of the jobs they are being educated to do.

Teacher salaries doubled from 1980-1990, yet still haven't doubled since then from 1990-2018. It's a real problem and many of my colleagues have left the profession over the years because of pay. I don't know how much longer I can hold out until I have to look for another career.

The problem is real, but it is shared by other professions as well. But in the end, we are personally responsible for our student loan debt.

This needs addressed ASAP. We are desperate for high level quality Teachers! After so many years of successful performance (3-6?) their loans should be wiped off the books! What say you @realDonaldTrump @MikePenceVP

Most teachers have teaching degrees of various types on the bachelor's level, though others like myself have bachelor's in other fields that relate to teaching or a particular subject.

Loan debt and stagnant wages is a financial challenge for anyone!!!!! The difference is I 1) picked a field that pays well and 2) only took out loans that I could pay back! These teachers don't appear to be too smart!!!!
