Barbara Bush was not an elected official. Can’t you express your issues without dancing on her grave? https://usat.ly/2HqjcWn  (via @usatodayopinion)

Her opinion is her opinion. However giving out a suicide emergency hot line as her own should have consequences. This emergency service line was tied up for at least 2 days. Who knows what people in need were not able to get in touch with this help line.

1/2 I applaud Mr. Albom’s opinions. Unfortunately tenure isn’t going away but since it is here, @Fresno_State should be asked how someone of such low intellectual caliber, like @randajarrar, was not only given the opportunity to teach but ultimately granted tenure.

2/2 Furthermore, perhaps @ASU and the non-profit it contracts with to run its crisis hotline, Empact, should consider suing Ms. Jarrar personally. That would be a good use of her $100,000 salary she so readily boasts about.

Addendum: Ms. Jarrar earned her MFA from @UMich and an MA from @UTAustin. It would be interesting to hear from her former colleagues at @umichWriters and @cmesevents as to what she was like as a student. Certainly her hateful vitriol is not new.

That is the problem in today’s world. No one ever has to pay for their consequences. She should be fired for her ridiculous actions. Instead ignoring this issue is the way to go now.

Weak response from liberal USA Today. If she had attacked a Democrat, you would be calling for her head.

She said hateful things but freedom of speech does allow one to express unpopular opinions. It is her right.

Wow!! And not a good Wow!! I am all for freedom of speech, but there is a time and a place for it. This was not an appropriate time for a rant regardless of who it’s about. May Barbara Bush REST IN PEACE!
