As she nears death at age 92, former first lady Barbara Bush's announcement that she is seeking "comfort care" is shining a light — and stirring debate — on what it means to stop trying to fight terminal illness. https://usat.ly/2HtIgL8 pic.twitter.com/KGcWawQYYg

There is nothing to debate. I just went thru the exact same thing with my Mom.There was nothing more the dr's could do.She came home to be in her home with her family. She was at peace. It was heartbreaking. But it was in God's hands. Nothing more to say.Just tears & prayers💔

I believe that she's an adult, intelligent woman who knows her condition better than anyone else and has the right to make that choice. God bless her and be with her and her family at this time of grief.

From reports I heard, I got the impression that she had been hospitalized several times. She was probably tired of treatments (whatever they were). People have been doing that for years. The debate would be, for me, if she doctors gave her drugs to speed up death. My opinion.
