Congressional lawmakers generally applauded Trump's decision to strike Syria, but some Democrats said the military action should have been approved — or at least vetted — by Congress.https://usat.ly/2GXmPCJ

Vietnam was "vetted" by Congress. We lost because Congress whimpered.

If Trump isn’t just doing this as a one time show, then it will show he can’t stand up to Putin. If this leads to continuous strikes, he must get approval from Congress. He has some powers but not all inclusive.

@congressdotgov felt as though they should have ok'd this. The same Congressmen that stall legislation for party unity, fail to come together for a budget (forget that it's not even a BALANCED budget), stall on approving or denying appointees, etc, etc. Yep, I can see their value

Ever wonder how #WWIII would start? Wonder no more. This will only provoke Putin to attack the United States. Maybe we need @sethmeyers a closer look or smart jokes from @jimmyfallon

It was approved, by Putin, when the U.S. gave him "advanced" notice, as has been admitted. The whole strike was intended to shift attention
