        It does, however, if all funds are not used for educational purposes, the remainder will be taxable. It will be treated as a normal annuity. This is not true for a Roth. The principal in a Roth is always accessible also.

        Assuming my advisor owes a fiduciary duty and isn’t trying to sell me on a loan from a company paying him kickbacks....I trust my advisor more than school (which has vested interest) and family and friends (prob don’t know better than I do).

        Went to college in Germany. Absolutely loved it. I paid 80€ per semester - 40 of that went to our student union - the other 40 went towards the public transportation ticket for that semester. No frats here, no excessive partying (since drinking is 16), no sports - just education
