During the #MarchForOur Lives in Washington, D.C., we asked demonstrators one thing: What are your thoughts on the argument that students are "too young" to weigh in on the gun control debate? https://usat.ly/2ue6aVA  (Via @usatodayopinion)

If they aren’t too young to die in a mass shooting at school they aren’t too young to weigh in on the gun control debate. We failed them and now they will make us listen as they call us out on our failure. Looking forward to their “walk in” this November.

I hear you. Please remember how impressionable they are in the sense where if we do not help them rightly channel thinking we will not be raising them right. It's not about bad guns...it's about bad students, bad people and soft targets that bad people look for.

It’s also about the fact that they know where their parents “store” their guns and ammo. It’s also about how most gun owners don’t properly store their guns to begin with. I’m well aware of what all this is about.

Wise words and good encouragement. WE need to do better in so many areas here. Protection can, and should, start at home. We are catching these holes... Now let's plug them up!

To us old ppl reading this. Those protesting the end of the Vietnam war, our teenage selves, would today be considered extremists in society by some. Congratulations on the upgrade from protester to extremist.

Children can be easily manipulated by adults who don't always have their best intrest at hart. That's why you don't let kids get involved in policy making.

These children were “hunted” or are in fear of being “hunted” in school - therefore their opinions matter

The girl in the middle with the Communist Cuban flag on her sleeve is too young and too naive to understand what the Second Amendment is for. She should study history instead of being emotionally manipulated by adults pushing an agenda.https://usat.ly/2ue6aVA

HS students are too young to understand all of the factors at play. Parkland victims don't understand the purpose of the #SecondAmendment. The #DNC is trying to use #Parklandpropaganda in their drive to suppress #SecondAmendment rights, win #Midterm elections, and impeach Trump.

Students are never to young to know right from wrong. If something is able to kill or permanently disable them is it not right for them to speak on it? Why do we insist on allowing a double standard. We can have them enlist, fight and die at seventeen. Yet, not vote on the law

Michael, no one wants to forbid them. Only help guide them. The bodily harm they face is from a PERSON using a gun Unlawfully. Teach them how to protect themselves and their kids by seeing, not Bad guns, but Bad hearts and need for real protection.

You cannot tell what’s in a persons heart or mind. Each year serial killers, kidnappers, and human trafficking proves that point. You can’t always see it. Banning the ability of the people to obtain weapons without a real background check, is a tangible.

Whole heartedly agree... And for those who own them but are showing aberrant behavior maybe a time out from possession in order to get some help. Lots of avenues than vilification of NRA, Gun Owners or whoever doesn't agree. Sad blame placed Saturday on lots, except the criminals
