As youth we used to make our own kites with our dad's supervision then have contests to see whose was the most wind worthy...A great free activity and lesson in science, art, weather, etc.

What an awesome sight that must be!! As lovely as it is to see, Newport RI has one every year but they don't get nearly that number of participants.

Watched this on CBS Sunday Morn show. It was a beautiful sight to see. It really made me relax for a moment in time. I believe the festival was held in Sweden if I recall right. It really was like watching our Macy Day Parade on Ice.

The Pungo Inn c. 1960's is probably gone now. It is THE restaurant that always made me want to own one. The food was off the charts excellent; old fashion southern cuisine. They loved families & were kind to kids. I've dined 5 stars all over the world but only miss the Pungo Inn.

THIS is the best news you can come up with? The Shadow War rages, Revelation is upon us, and the apocalypse is happening and you are all about flying kites. No wonder the MSM is DEAD.
