For godsakes, he was always shown in a wheelchair only able to speak thru a computerized mechanism. Why split hairs about him being shown as disabled, he himself addressed his disability. He had a disability, get over it.

The fact that he lived with ALS is and always will be part of his story. It is amazing to live over 50 years after diagnosis, even if he would have accomplished nothing academically.
