The flight attendant must be identified and made public. I hope the news completes this story.

How do you apologize for taking the life of a loved one? Pets are family members and should be treated with the same respect. God forgive them.

I hate @united. They are consistently showing NO compassion to their passengers and now a steady stream of horrible pet deaths. #banunitedairlines

The attendant deserves disciplinary action. Don't understand why the owner caved or why another passenger didn't say or do something. I would have risked being thrown off the plane to save that poor, frightened animal. Animals can easily die of fright & this was inexcusable.

Dear United you can't undo dead dog with an apology. It's time to say no to animals period or any pet that shows up. Rules are too fluid.

Unfortunately, it happens all the time. People don’t want to pay, so they call the “emotional support” animals. The majority ruining it for the people who truly need the animal on board. Major crackdown underway.

In my opinion, the owner is not partly to blame. @united should not have allowed the owner to bring the carrier on if it was not the size to fit under the seat. It's very easy and convenient for everybody to want to blame the pet owner.

Sounds like she tried not to. The problem is, there is no balance of power on a plane. If u tick the crew off, they can remove u, no questions asked. Some of them love the power.
