"I am still fundamentally confused as to why the U.S. Secretary of Education continually seems to push for increased funding for private and charter schools without actually spending equal time in our nation’s public schools," writes one mom.http://ow.ly/h2Iu30iUpip

Unfortunately, our Education Secretary seems utterly confused as well.

There shouldn't be any confusion. This administration wants government out of the education business.

We’ve seen how well the government has done with education so far. Maybe stepping aside and allowing each state to make their decisions, will be more beneficial

My school district (Lower Merion) is committed to the goal of cultivating free thinking and public service. Another school district in central PA is committed to boosting the economic welfare of its residents. These are polar opposites within one state.

Her agenda is clear although not correct. But public schools are there for all children and educate our nations poorest students. When we ignore these schools what are we saying as a nation about our concern for the children they educate.

How can someone be confused about her agenda? It's clear she is no fan of public education and proponent of for profit charter schools. Her war on public education. Another incompetent trump appointment. #45 the #realODB

An educated electorate was/is vital to this experiment that we call, democracy. DeVoss is the tip of the Trump spear. Simply, this democracy is in trouble. Serious trouble...

Because she paid good money to get this job in order to dismantle the public schools. Let's stop kidding ourselves. This administrations goals are to tear down the very institutions that he was elected to protect. We will be fortunate to have anything left after 4 years.

Honestly , she doesn’t like public schools, you can tell that by what she supports, what she visits, and who gets the resources.

This is a money grab giving taxpayers money to for profit business,I call it corporate welfare. Not only does it help private business get taxpayers money it takes money from public schools that are struggling directly because of this. The corporate welfare system is no good.

DeVos was born into wealth, married wealth (her husband was one of the Founders of that epitome of pyramid schemes, Amway), and only knows and/or wants to know wealth.pic.twitter.com/VHuntRCck3
