You can thank illegal immigrants for this problem.

It's not their fault. They filled a hole left by people looking down on these trade careers preaching college. Now we can't afford college and no one knows how to change their own oil or work on their own house.

That's not what happened at all. During the recession, construction companies came along that only employed $10 per hr illegal immigrants and stole the little work legit businesses still had left by under bidding to the point these legit businesses couldnt afford pay employees.

Those trades workers who were forced out by illegals have since moved onto greener pastures.

Duh! Well maybe if you hired UNION WORKERS to begin with, you wouldnt lose employees to poaching, Mr. Hess??? USA TODAY This "training initiative" is an OBVIOUS attempt by HomeDepot to break unions. #BOYCOTTHomeDepot

I know I would NEVER hire a guy Home Depot trained rather than one who been thoroughly schooled in OSHA, and done an APPRENTICESHIP covering safety and building trades skills for the three or four years they apprentice. How giving vets GOOD (UNION) TRAINING??? #BoycottHomeDepot

There's a shortage because they're paid crap wages. They're better off on their own...

Should not be a issue. More vocational schools. Service only economy is stupid. A trade can be just as a degree. Got a trade got it made.

It's because Trump deported them all and chased them back to their Sh**hole country, that's the truth..You don't see them standing around at My Home Depot anymore, plus ask the owners of construction companies because they can't find cheap help anymore
