Ugly trophies for movies nobody saw and political rants we are all tired of hearing from people who simply refuse to get it. #OscarsSoLame

Blame Twitter. No one needs to watch TV anymore, kid.

I hate all award shows, but I hate a lecture even more. Combine the two & I'd really rather eat light bulbs. #FuckTheOscars

I watched half of it. The other half on Twitter. One doesn't need to turn on TV these days. TV ratings are misleading.

Nielsen ratings factor in online viewing, so that is incorrect.

They're the same, all factored in together. Later the DVR numbers will be added [after 72 hrs] it's all the same data. They counted for both of ur viewing platforms

Because ppl don’t care about Hollywood’s elitist patting themselves on the back and wearing over the top ridiculously expensive clothes.

The main reason for the drop; political commentary by the Hollywood dimwits is getting old. People want to be entertained, not lectured to.

To begin you're alienating half the country to start, there's only 96,872 other award shows, the winners seem to have less to do with talent and more to do with pushing an agenda, more people are cutting the cord, etc. Lots of reasons it's ratings are down

Who wants to watch many non-educated people who are multi millionaires tell us how to live? They have no clue. Have the right to speak their mind and I have the right to not watch. Similar to the NFL. Who cares?
