Originally meant for protection against storms, these shelters are now being recognized for protecting against shooters.http://ow.ly/jyjh30iJ3jJ

This is what happens when you make places gun free zones. You need bullet proof shelters where you have to wait for help as opposed to having the help right there with you. This is not because of a rifle. This is due to a bad policy and law making by democrats. #EndGunFreeZones

Maybe you should consider putting the shooters IN that room, so they can’t shoot unarmed individuals ? ! ?

Certainly not. If someone really wanted to do harm to others and knew about the shelters they would use something else. When are you ppl going to get it thru your heads no amt of protection will be a sure thing in this 21st cent chaotic environment. Armed guards are best.

Only in the US where we can’t afford to properly fund education, teachers or schools but we love guns more then the future tax payers of the country

State houses and congress get armed security guards, guess the politicians think they are more important than children.

It's sad that a modern country like this needs shooting shelter for schools. Where the hell did we gone wrong? Where did we sell our morals and common sense off for guns?!

We don't need them at all. USA Today is just using this shooting as an excuse to create panic.

They just report the news. It happens therefore they report. Or would you just like to close your eyes put your hands over your ear and scream "lalalala"

They aren't reporting it. They are making it. Do you really believe we NEED those in our classrooms? Of course not. But USA Today NEEDS you to believe it.

Well if you read the story, it says that the company that makes them says they can do that right on their website; that they're Bulletproof. So they're just reporting what they read on the website

It would help, but the real solution is in teaching our young people respect for self and others. We must stop bullying. Everyone needs and deserves to be valued for who they are
