That was his job. He was hired to protect. He deserves all the criticism he's getting.

Sickening is letting those people be slaughtered and letting killer walk away without pursuit.

Uh, Im sorry, I pay taxes for you to do your job. Peanut Gallery doesn't quite cover the fact that you are hired and sworn to protect us and paid by us as well. Yet somehow unarmed teachers went running in.

Nobody really know how they would react to life or death circumstances until they are faced with them. I've heard a lot of people saying they would have done different but I haven't heard that the sheriff's dept has been swamped with new recruits.
-
Regardless of what we would do its the deputies' jobs to go in so our criticism is fair. Unarmed teachers gave their lives doing more

Tou'che but...apparently they were paid NOT to risk their lives, I mean it's not quite a "Dine n' Dash" maneuver...but i'm sure they've been cashing those paychecks. - resign when unfit for the job.

Most if not all of the critics who have crucified this officer have done it while holding a cup of coffee or sitting at a desk. The would of, could of, should of typically comes once you have had time to analyze the situation. Let’s face it - most of us are Monday morning QB’s.
-
What was he paid to do, protect the public with situational caveats? I'm sure the parents of the dead would appreciate that.

The school administration failed, SRO completely failed, the first responding deputies failed, the Sheriff failed, the FBI failed. By you want to take the word from a carrier government cop who is part of the system that failed.

What a load of garbage. The deputy had a duty to run toward the gunfire, to engage the shooter. He had 4 out if 7 minutes to distract if not neutralize the shooter. His (and any other deputy that coward outside) are responsible for the deaths of some of those students.

"Sickening" and "true" are not mutually exclusive, particularly under this available set of facts.

You’re right, Tim. You won’t rise to the occasion, you’ll fall to your highest level of training. Do better. Train better. Develop warrior mindsets. Those with “the resume” might disagree with you.
