This is an averaged expense, not truthful to individual costs of raising a child. The data is irrelevant and statistically invalid.
-
What do you mean? If you want your children to be in sports, music lessons, go on school trips, eat fresh food, have a roof over their head, regular doctor check ups, it cost money.
-
Means the data used to generate that number likely isn't robust enough to be reliable. Likely get a wide range of estimates based on numerous factors such as where the child is raised so making such a blanket statement would not be accurate.
-
I live in Canada, free healthcare. Worked in a school where parents could not afford $ 10.00 for school trip. School would pay. Some parents could not even afford to look after themselves. Any cost you can't afford makes it very difficult. Kids deserve a good start.
-
That sounds nice, the point the other guy and I were making was more of a statistical one, not as much of a conversation about the actual "cost" of raising a child. But sure, free healthcare would be very helpful!

Should be a law that both parties need at least 10% (23k) of that in a bank account to be able to have a kid... i know..what if it's not planned. My answer is simple. If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail. So get your priorities straight. Drops
