        I was enlisted and had/have flat feet, which almost prevented me from enlisting, because combat boots and lots of marching were/are the daily routine. But, the military has what we call 'waivers'. I received a waiver to wear arches in my combat boots. No worries there. 😛

        What is the point of saying that? To act macho to mask his painfully obvious and raging insecurity? To shame law enforcement? (He's a real pal to cops with that remark) To say something because he usually has no idea how to address sensitive and complex issues? All of the above?
