I find it odd that in this country women fight to wear hijabs as some sort of statement while in other countries they fight against tyranny by refusing to wear them.

They are still victims here in this country. The liberal media accepts this form of social construct and tries to convince us it’s not oppression here, but in other countries, the women are victims.

Hopefully, she will one day understand that the hijab is a device of control imposed on her and other females by insecure males.

As far as I know, the USA still allows freedom of religion and freedom of fashion. Some choose to wear crosses, some choose bikinis, some choose to cover-up due to comfort level. We should congratulate her for being a hard working human, regardless of race, religion, or fashion.

I prefer to think of hijabs as fashion statements..because the idea that there's something offensive to God about women's heads is so repellent to me.

Amish and Mennonites where head covers and they are not scorned..why is this different. Is it the color, religion...OR is it just plain unvarnished bigotry?!! We ask what is going wrong..why isn't it? Sad.
-
I don’t think she should be scorned. I also disagree with the reasoning behind the Amish and Mennonite head coverings. But I think that some people choose to embrace the act of doing something because they “can” rather than delving into the underlying reason for the action.
-
But that's their business, not ours to impose why we think they're doing it. It suits a need that they find acceptable within their culture.
-
True. Which is why I’m not saying they shouldn’t do it. Just that every person should deeply examine the motive for his or her actions. That’s a bipartisan failure and one that extends to every religion.

My wife used to work with Tehera. She busted her butt for that opportunity and it wasn't given to her, she earned it. I dunno how I feel about the hajib, I have my own opinions, but Tehera represents that American dream we all gotta fight for.

Will she dare wear the burqa and do away with the make-up artist and TV ratings?.. America will never have gun control.
