since he was 18 the family he was staying with .. Really didn't have an option to get him help IF he as an adult Didn't want it . What family did he have left that could MAKE him get help ?

Maybe (big maybe) if the first family he stayed with might have been able to get guardianship, he could've been ruled mentally defective. His mom died Nov 1, shooting was Feb 14, that might have been enough time to have had guardianship done & guns taken away.
-
they tried with the gun case but didnt realize it came with 2 keys .. also sounds like after their son had problems .. living under same house .. Wonder where younger bro was ? and now younger bro is on a hold
-
Yeah, there's not much info on the younger brother. Becauae his age is younger, it should be easier for someone to become his guardian.
-
Hippa causes so many problems for mental illness .. the PT has to allow the parent to be informed about what is happening .. AT first they will refuse seem normal .. flick of a switch can change .. Hear voices but wont tell anyone but listen and act
-
That's another reason why guardianship is important. I had guardianship of medical decisions & signed HIPAA releases. I would (& still do) go to dr appts so I can say what symptoms I've seen.
-
correct but the average person cant get it .. its not easy to get .. You need a dr behind you writting that it is needed .. the PT still has rights and gets to decide who it will be . They pick who they want .My bro still had choices
-
Yeah, there's a list of rights that can be adjudicated. I had medical decisions, where to live, financial & contracts. He still had rights to vote, marry, chose friends (don't know the rest). Husband was partially mentally incapacitated in the eyes of the law.

Did you even read the article? His mom gave him $5,000 before she died to hold him over until he got his $800,000 inheritance.

What could police do? Cruz was calm & apologized for violence & family didn't press charges. Story stated family had not started guardianship proceedings. Wouldn't have applied to Nikolas b/c 18 yr old unless he was mentally defective, if so, then guns taken away & on no buy list

Gee, both the sheriff and the FBI failed to do their jobs and liberals blame the NRA?https://edition.cnn.com/2018/02/22/us/florida-school-shooting/index.html …

Let's see, his surrogate petitioned for his inheritance of $800k the day after shooting... Hmmm... Makes you wonder if it's all true, or if she's looking for any means to secure that inheritance... Can't believe all this was ignored, if truly reported... Or it's just crap!

This is crazy because I had seen a clip last week where the surrogate family said they had no problems with Cruz and that he was polite and to himself. Who are they lying to?

police did nothing and then blamed the NRA, and the media then pushed that narrative.
