Too little, too late. No, no more "stronger background checks" or "now is not the time" BS. It's time for real change: stop allowing military-style guns like the AR-15 to be sold to civilian Americans. Our promise: we will vote the corrupt GOP out.

The NRA thinking: "They're just kids. They'll get all excited about their proms or their Facebook walls or something; maybe some new singer or fashion trend. Don't worry. They'll forget." Not this time.

It would be FAR easier to simply ban military type weapons.

we barely pay teachers enough to teach now he wants them to be trained police officers as well? My husband is an educator. He teaches a group of disabled High school seniors to transition into working adults. Trump gave him a tax break. He gets $3.00 a week more now

is he now expected to squander his $3.00 a week more on buying a gun (he already buys supplies out of pocket.) He was a sharpshooter in the Army, 30 years ago, his eyes are still good, so training isn't an obstacle, but he planned on using that $3.00 for a cup of coffee!

School is place of learning than prison camp. Teachers now part time security guards ... Really instead addressing the culprit of issues we create bigger issues that all can have guns for all out wild wild west shoot out. Yee ahhh really sad if kids have been in classes with guns

How many guns do you think are already out there? If not another one was sold, there wouldn't be an appreciable drop in crime and incidents like this for centuries.

Really thats your argument to me. Go back and read literature and statistics from around world re guns restrictions. Stop reaching for an argument to satisfy your gun fetish.

Arming teachers = selling even more guns! Why the hell is an American president promoting a commercial association that represents an industry producing instruments to kill each other???

Arming Teachers and Administration with Guns won’t stop shooters. The shooters aren’t planning to survive. Before a teacher can get their weapon and fire, several children will already be shot. Especially if assault weapons are being used. #ThursdayThoughts
