I don't even need the rubber bands.

All you need is a finger and a jean loop. That was the original bump stock.

OMG, so glad to see
#POTUS speak out against bumps. He is starting to sound "presidential" today. get rid of auto guns too.@JesseBWatters@realDonaldTrump -
“Auto guns” were made illegal a very long time ago.
-
No they weren't. They were made regulated.
-
Oh and every thing that was manufactured after May of 1986 is illegal to own for private citizens.

1/ Trump knows these
#resist dems. If he gives them bumpfire, they’ll want extended background checks. So he’ll say, “sure,” if you give me#ccr, and dems will say#maglimits, and Trump will say#suppressors , and dems will demand#AWB. And there it is. Big elephant. Unpassable. -
2/ In return Trump could ask for repeal of 1990 Gun-Free School Zone Act. Making it even less passable and we have Trump’s omnibus Gun Bill. Trump has taken gun control and made it his. The bill fails on bipartisan strength of dem votes who must hold their red district seats.
-
3/ It can’t pass and pro-Gun voters will never be more energized. Trump will declare his aggressive gun bills were killed by democrats. Pro-gun backlash will repeat red wave of 1994. Most are too young to remember the heavy price Dems paid for the

Justice department and attorney General do not have jurisdiction/authority to do that so it a pretty meaningless order. All show.

I support this move, however I can't help thinking it took 142 days after the
#LasVegas shooting and a school shooting to get here on something the majority agreed on How many more children will we have to bury to stop the gun show loophole or banning#AR15s?#GunReformNow -
Whats the gun show loophole?
-
Also I've personally bought over 10 guns at shows and not once did the seller fail to require ID and a background check. Funny how that was a blatant lie about some magical loophole used to target the uninformed.
-
Only 13 states require a background check to be performed no matter how a gun is sold or what kind of gun it is. In most states, guns can be sold between private parties like friends or acquaintances, but commonly these background-check-free gun sales occur at gun shows.pic.twitter.com/1hAzHWn3PS

And transfering a firearm to anyone prohibited from owning a firearm is in itself a felony regardless if you know theyre prohibited or not. So selling a firearm to a stranger without confirming who youre selling to is extremely risky. If you see someone do this report it.
-
Agree! The problem is trusting that people out to make money on individual gun sales will do the right thing if not required to do so. You have to require it for all sales or people who can't get a gun will go to a private seller who won't check.
-
But they are in fact required by FEDERAL law not to sell a firearm to a felon or minor.
