I work in Baltimore city. Grew up in the city. Left the city because I can't afford to live here. Taxes & water just too $$$. If we can afford to live here, we risk dying here. @MayorPugh50, something's got to give.

I moved to Howard County because of the schools. I miss the city but it’s too expensive.

I'm from Baltimore, and lived most of my life in B-more and have seen what drugs, hatred, poverty, graft, corruption, and systemic racism have done to my hometown. Want to help? Start reading Ta-neishi Coates, bell hooks, Michelle Alexander, Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, Langston

I agree. We had the opioid problem before it became a thing. It ruined families, caused poverty, brought murder, gangs, parentless children. And there’s nowhere near enough money for education and social programs.

Clearly more support needed for the good people of Baltimore. Cities unite, share strategies. Student exchange programs, motivate and engage the youth.

Yeah, but that makes it all the worse. Look at all these heavily Democrat areas, run by Dems. It's really insane. No one wants to face reality. Certainly not Dems. They risk upsetting their base. And the problem worsens.

@thehill CERTAIN areas of Baltimore are soooooo depressing that the aura, sights and sounds are extremely depressing to even the occasional visitor. Baltimore CAN BE HELPED. Baltimore CAN BE CHANGED. Baltimore CAN BE RENOVATED✊ EDUCATE, TRAIN & INVEST

We could end project and section 8 housing and stop welfare payments for having babies and the area would improve quickly.

So big cities with gang and drug problems are the biggest factor, and most of these thugs can’t legally buy guns anyway, so why is the Left trying so hard to take my guns?

Nobody wants to take your guns unless you have a military grade weapon cable of discharging a large amount of rounds rapidly.

I don’t want to give up any of my guns and I don’t think the Left would stop with any description like what you gave. Besides, I hunt with an AR.

Actually I do. Just because I’m black doesn’t mean I’m not into hunting. My work family and I would go all of the time. I love my timber classic marlin but whatever.

Then learn about hunting with ARs, then. Very accurate platform with a free-floated barrel and with an upgraded trigger and good ammo I can have bullet holes touching at 100 meters. ARs are ugly, but highly functional.

I’ll pass and stick to the more traditional route. I don’t even keep my firearms at home because I have children. And if I did have to defend myself I prefer a knife.
