Why shouldn't I root for them to fail? They're rooting for the American president to fail. That goes for you too USA Today.

Seriously? Using your 15 minutes of fame to bash the president or VP has consequences.

Why can’t there be pure patriotism during the Olympics. For a short time why can’t all be one?

It’s a ridiculous era. Because it’s more about speaking ones mind now than actual olympics. 🙄

Actually read the article. Pretty good except I think you have a misconception All Americans want to hear is about skating and skiing matters We don’t want to hear politics when watching the Olympics That’s the POInT of the Olympics They chose to make it political so deal with it

It seems that free speech is only relevant when it agrees with your mantra, however free speech goes both ways. Tell it like it is even if it hurts you are a journalist cover HRC, HBO,AND DNC with equal vigor.

I have never thought much about sports articles being unnecessarily ridiculous, but after reading 1 article from Christine Brennan, I will be sure to never click on or read another USA Today article again.

So Americans are "haters" but athletes are just "speaking their mind"? Many athletes have HATED on our leadership (and even at times our country). Why can't Americans just be "speaking their minds"? Such a slanted article. #SubscriptionCancelled

We don’t hate them, the Olympics should not be a platform for politics. It’s a time for all to come together and cheer for their country. They chose a different path, and as we have to listen to what they have to say, they have to listen to other people’s response.
