Great, then she should stay in Norway. I think it's wrong that Norwegians have to pay 90% of their income in taxes for socialist welfare programs. But I live in the USA, and will happily let the Norwegians determine their own destiny. They have their nation-state, we have ours.

Wow ! Incredible . It's sad to witness how many Americans who apparently lack the most basic knowledge about Scandinavia anno 2018 . Scandinavia are based on democracy , capitalism and a few basic rights for all citizens . 🇳🇴🇺🇸 Have a nice day

"Basic Rights" in the United States don't include a guaranteed income paid for by the American taxpayers. Scandinavians pay brutal taxes to achieve this nirvana. How does anyone ever get ahead if they have to pay 60%+ in taxes? Entirely different philosophy of government.

I agree .To compare the US and The Scandinavian system & tax on income are difficult. USA has its system how it finance public & federal services . Norway's system cover free healthcare , paid vacation , education & more for all .Average income in 2017 in Norway was 65 000 USD

To follow up, Finland has just decided to end its 2 year experiment with providing a basic income welfare benefit. They found that providing a basic income guarantee was bad for society, and led to a decline in ambition and independence. Recipients didn't look for work.

Thank You for the update . The same social payment system that Finland now have ended .. Norway with a population with 5 mil. people over 1 mil. lives on permanent social payment . The minimum social payment you can recieve are ~ 25 000 USD . A time Bomb

I concur that having a large population living on government welfare is a time bomb. I'm a Christian. The Bible quotes the Apostles as saying that those who do not work must not eat. No society that has paid people NOT to work has survived for long. We won't be different.

Your Twitter handle is fight the Nazis. So if you think they're legit then it's a legit question. You're either using hyperbole to scare people or you need to answer the question.
