Here is something to think about. More than 350 million guns currently owned in the US were NOT used to kill someone yesterday. Conservative estimate.

Your country has a problem! You can’t deny this!!!! The fact that children have such free access to buy a gun or borrow their parents is disgusting! In the uk we feel for the USA. Such a sad state of a country.

I don’t deny a problem exists but I do deny its the problem you think it is and I deny your perception of its magnitude. Also if you like your house better than mine, spend your time enjoying your house instead of criticizing mine. It’s not my taste but I agree it’s nice.

The NRA controls Congress. Australia is wasting their time.

Australia also has the population less than that of California that lacks our gun culture. The automatic reference to Anglophonic or European nations every time a shooting happen really does not make much sense as the US is significantly different than those places.

No mass shooting for Australia? But lots of arson, stabbings and vehicular deaths.

they actually turned their guns in.....what's the chance of that happening here?
-
It was a mandatory gun buy back scheme many guns were forcibly removed , 2nd amendment prevents this from happening in the US
-
as I recall, it was voluntary and anonymous.....but I will double check
-
it was voluntary, and included both legal and illegal firearms
-
Nope initial gun buy back was mandatory in 1997 they’ve had subsequent amnesty periods for people to hand in illegal firearms like I said 2Nd amendment won’t happen in the UShttps://sydney.edu.au/news-opinion/news/2017/10/09/3-facts-about-gun-laws-in-australia.html …
-
buyback programs in 1996 and 2003. Both programs were temporary and involved compensation paid to owners of firearms made illegal by gun law changes and surrendered to the government. not exactly mandatory...but without compliance, you now owned an illegal gun
