Australia hasn't had a fatal mass shooting since 1996. Here's what it didhttps://usat.ly/2BZpYiv

Not true: Monash University 2002, Hunt family Murders 2014, Sydney Siege 2014...and the rate of overall deaths by guns have not gone down significantly since their gun laws took affect. Single murders still exist at the same rate. Terrible reporting.

That comment proves the delusional mentality you and your country have. An average 2.5 school shootings a day have occurred in America in 2018. That behaviour coupled with your laws are what makes America a third world country

Now that would be news if their were 2.5 a day! The real scewed number is 18 this year. 17 of which just happened to be on school grounds not necessarily during school. A few accidental discharges, a few suicides included in there. Non premeditated.

Do you hear yourself? You’re attempting to make an argument that is beyond defending.. Here’s a solution @POTUS being the smart businessman he is funds his own campaign @NRA then becomes irrelevant and laws can be passed meaning innocent lives can be saved

Rather than make "facts" up like "2.5 school shootings a day" and "no other country deals with this stuff" Here is a fact. The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Bad guys don't abide by any laws either do they?

The only “good guys” are law enforcement and military in battle. Other than that no one else should be operating a gun other than for hunting with a proper license and check. Im sure there have been a lot of “good guys” that committed these massacres

Again with the speculation ("I'm sure there have been a lot of "good guys that committed these") the truth is good people are law abiding. Take away their rights and watch what the bad people can do. No amount of legislation can stop bad people from doing bad things.

As sn Australian citizen I can't vote your law makers in or out, but as an Australian citizen I can share with you I am not scared to walk down the street or know the kids in our extended family are safe at school. Wake up America!

God bless the Aussies for having more common sense than this country -their politicians are obviously not "bought & paid for" by gun manufacturers.

People kicked up a fuss at the time but what an amazing result. We go about our lives free of gun violence, especially in our schools where we leave our kids and expect them to see them.

What I don't understand is why civilians need to have AK-15 guns. Should that be for the police and military?

Best practices!!! Why do we continue to ignore the positive experiences of other countries? Because we defer to a broken policy written by men 250 years ago?

We were given the right to own guns not for just hunting and sport, but to defend ourselves from tyranny. This should be a debate about mental health and how it should be dealt with and taken seriously.

Exactly why we need to take mental health more seriously!! So that those with issues like the shooter CANT get their hands on them.

I would be terrified to send my kids to school if I lived in America, it physically makes me feel ill at the thought. In Australia accidents can happen, as anywhere, but I don’t feel ill thinking about sending my kids to school for fear of being shot at any moment.

We honestly dont either. Dont let media persuade you any. People can argue all day that somebody doesn’t need a gun but theres a rebuttal for every one. If rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Our gun laws need to change yes, but banning will solve nothing

Over 300 mass shootings last year, already 18 this year.... that’s more than the rest of the world combined, your argument has been proven wrong countless times but your precious 2nd is still more important than your kids lives, Gun laws work !
