AR-15-style rifles have increasingly appeared in American mass shootings, including the deadliest high school shooting in the nation's modern history at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.https://usat.ly/2BuTdZu

@RepStefanik Any chance you might reconsider your concealed-carry reciprocity bill or you just waiting for this to happen in New York?

Weird how leftists only show outrage when homicides occur with guns, and not with vans on a New York City sidewalk.

No citizen should have access to those kinds of weapons!!

An AR-15 functions the same as any other semi auto weapon, including hand guns. Just because its black and "looks scary" as a military grade M4 appears, doesnt change the fact that it does not function as an assault rifle.

Just get a bump stock then. This whole pro gun “it’s ONLY a semi automatic” is ludicrous. These should not be sold to the general public. End of story.

That's your opinion. And your opinion is no more of value than mine. However, I have the 2nd amendment behind me. Your position is baseless.

I’m using facts and evidence. The US has more guns than any other country yet 3% of Americans own half the guns in America. In 2018 there have been 6565 shootings, 1823 deaths & 3137 injuries, & it’s only Feb F**KING 14TH. The 2nd amendment was not created for this. At all.

It’s not the weapon, it’s the person and the environment along with such things as the parents/parent paying attention plus the lack of Christ in our lives . Put Christ back in our society and things will change.

Why are they commonly used? Because they’re the most common rifle in the entire nation. Why are you acting baffled? Many millions of these rifles are privately owned and are never used in wrongful acts.

Yeah, it's easy for mass media and others to point to one particular device. I mean I'll admit, it looks military in fashion, because of how it originated, but the AR is actually a very effective hunting rifle. The root cause of these terrible incidents are much deeper/complex.

The reason is how it looks. It looks just like an M4/M16 military rifle. The main difference is that an AR15 isn’t capable of 3 round bursts.
