The bill would require members to personally pay any settlements rather than using their office budget.https://usat.ly/2BecfmT

Amazing congress actually has to pass a bill for sexual offense responsibility. Are you kidding me? The regular American citizen never had that privilege. #patheticPoliticians

What's amazing is how many years this payment thing was on the books and no one bothered to even question it, yet gladly used it. Think about that. People needed to use a fund to pay off sex harass settlements and no one said a word.

As they should. Why would tax payers be on the hook for their indiscretions?

The fact they were EVER able to use taxpayer money to silence victims of their pervy selves is absolutely disgusting.

Shows how little they care about our tax money, paying off victims to not talk about low life they are. We the tax payers should demand they go after money already paid

There shouldn't be settlements. This should be a matter for the justice system. The current mass hysteria serves no one well. It has ruined numerous careers and makes women look bad too. It's hard to sort real claims from the mendacious ones after years have elapsed.

They need to pass a bill in order for the abusers to be responsible for their own actions? Like sexually harassing women was just one of the perks of the job???
