Indict for the crime of Assault & sue the school system in a civil court for the violence enacted upon this student's inalienable right. The power of the Pledge of Allegiance is earned through Respect, not subjugation.

What about respect for the law - last time I checked it was illegal for an adult to assault a child.

OUR VIOLATED FREEDOMS of speech & expression afforded in Constitution cannot b relegated 2 back seat 2 Pledge of Allegiance/Anthem. We get so hyped about pledge & anthem, we 4get the spirit of what it represents. We live in USA not 3rd world country where there r no freedoms.🇺🇸

Expressing dissent to a norm, not a law is not equivalent to not paying your taxes. At times, dissenting is more patriotic than just doing "it" because everyone else is. Conformity is the bastion of ignorance.

Seems you're not putting your money where your mouth or heart is. Must not be that serious about your 'dissent'? Seems more like you're doing the 'in' thing. And as we all know, you could always express the ultimate dissent and leave. Nothing's stopping you.
