Fire her and make sure to give her a copy of the Constitution.
-
Nothing in the Constitution says you must stand for the pledge.

Indict for the crime of Assault & sue the school system in a civil court for the violence enacted upon this student's inalienable right. The power of the Pledge of Allegiance is earned through Respect, not subjugation.

Good... you don’t stand that’s what happens
-
you mean you shouldn't stand for your beliefs? Do it or get swatted? Go to Russia or Iran with that stupidity.
-
It’s called respect for ur country
-
What about respect for the law - last time I checked it was illegal for an adult to assault a child.
-
Too bad he doesn't want to understand that.

OUR VIOLATED FREEDOMS of speech & expression afforded in Constitution cannot b relegated 2 back seat 2 Pledge of Allegiance/Anthem. We get so hyped about pledge & anthem, we 4get the spirit of what it represents. We live in USA not 3rd world country where there r no freedoms.

I'm a teacher. I do not stand for the pledge. I don't fucking have to.

Who are you paying Federal taxes to? The same government and country that flag represents.
-
Expressing dissent to a norm, not a law is not equivalent to not paying your taxes. At times, dissenting is more patriotic than just doing "it" because everyone else is. Conformity is the bastion of ignorance.
-
Seems you're not putting your money where your mouth or heart is. Must not be that serious about your 'dissent'? Seems more like you're doing the 'in' thing. And as we all know, you could always express the ultimate dissent and leave. Nothing's stopping you.
-
Ah, the good Ol' "you don't like it, then leave diatribe". Bless your heart.
