Delta says emotional-support animals flying the friendly skies are increasingly wandering the aisles, defecating, or even biting passengers.https://usat.ly/2EVxsAI

That's because everyone has decided to say their dogs are support animals. True service animals are verified (little card stating purpose and training) and wear a service vest

I can't tell you how many dogs come on the plane with that vest and then act in a way that makes you question the training they got...but then most have the sign saying in training plz don't touch as an easy way to excuse any off behavior

Then they haven't been passed as a service animal. No service animal will ever bite, they will never roam, they would never potty anywhere that they weren't excused to do so.

Couldn't agree more...it's too easy to get that vest online and getting a DR note is just a joke anyway... really takes away from the people that truly need it...Can see Airlines doing something similar to what Disney had to do a few years back

My brother was a quadriplegic his dog was the reason he could live alone. Wal-Mart made him stay outside in 100 degree heat because they wouldn't allow his animal. Now, claim some mental status and you can take your "therapy" dog anywhere. It irks me to the core😠😠

He could have sued Walmart. And should have. A legitimate service animal is allowed inside any business.

We called the ADA and in 24 hours their policy was changed and new signs were in the front of the building saying they would allow service animals. Plus the manager and regional managers called and apologized profusely.

Another way to know thr dog is trained. They give you a card with all the information from the ADA and contact information and it should always be visible on your dogs vest.

No thanks. I have no objection to those that really need the assistance of their dogs, but let’s face it you can buy a jacket off the internet and many abuse it. You are probably one of them.

Take benadryl and carry an epi. Service animals aside, people should NOT have to place their pets in cargo and risk their deaths for you.
