this is fake!! as a Californian living in supposed "New California" there hasn't been discussion of this ANYWHERE. local news or newspaper, etc. it's only a small group of ppl claiming that. and somehow it got viral. this is untrue! and baffling

Obama once claimed to have campaigned in "all 57 states". Why would you have a problem with 51?

This is just a stupidly transparent "plan" to split up Democrat-leaning counties, in order to grab a majority of territory but w/smaller portion of liberals so rightwingers & GOP can try to dominate the territory. White nationalist map-making, in other words.

Also, presumably the new state would get 2 new (republican) senators. Wonder if they'd be so supportive of San Francisco, Oakland and LA all forming new states with new senators of their own. Probably not.

This whole story is click bait for media and the public. New California says it has created county committees, which sounds great, yet Paul Preston is the rep for ~38 of California's 58 counties.

Seems that Paul Preston, in addition to promoting New California, which is fine, is also a believer that the UN is out to take over the world/take all your land and end capitalism.

This is ABSURD. You're falling for the press release of a tiny, Russia financed fringe group as if they represent a real movement. STOP GIVING THEM FREE ADVERTISING and acting like this is a 'done deal'.

Instead of working out their differences, they’re willing to divide their own state. A-It ain’t gonna happen as long as patriots like us are around. B-Please be advised that @GOP paid that loser, Nigel Farage to start this nonsense. Long live one & only state of California.🇺🇸👊
