Makes sense. Companies view employees as disposable paper towels. (Haven't had a raise in 10 years? Then go somewhere else. ) Its not the same as 20 years ago.

Depends on the employer and management. I've had a job which I loved & my boss as well as the owner we're amazing. I've also had a job that the CEO was nothing short of being a sociopath & management beneath him were too scared to stick up for anyone, horrible workplace.

Depends on the type of work ethics and their self motivations that creates a good workforce. I love my job 13 yrs there 40 in the field. I agree some managers can get a power trip. But you just leave work at work come back refreshed next day.
