What he did was stupid, but these don't usually end in deadly shootings. He needs to be held accountable, but don't the responding police officers have some explaining to do too?

Good. But the cops are at fault too.

The prosecution case might include the allegation that calling SWAT on anyone presents them with a clear obvious risk to life - no matter how innocent they are - or how they behave.

Why is there a risk to life? Because cops today are trigger-happy, that's why.

Yes the police need to re-look their procedure. But again the victim did not follow police instructions. The prank caller is the criminal here. He had committed prank calls in the past, the only way to fix this is make an example of him...nothing less then 10 yrs.

So it's ok for these cops to shoot him when they are 100 yards away and under cover?

😡 Horrifying! Repeat offender for same offense, set precedence for false 911 calls. This cannot be acceptable, first responders & law enforcement need to trust that they are responding to an honest call.
