@USATODAY then you need to take the pads away. The photo above was a QB who hit his head on the ground. Even if you play flag football there are chances your head hits the ground. Football is a contact sport. It'd be nice if you understood that

The issue isn't that he suffered a concussion, it's that he also had what appeared to be a seizure, spent less than 2 mins in the medical tent & was then sent back into the game before being pulled & taken to the locker room.

@Kelebration @USATODAY he didn't make it back in the game. He tried but did not get back in. The team stopped him before he could. That's the way it's supposed to work. It's the casual fans that are ruining the game.

That's not correct. He did go back in the game for a series. Then tried to go back in *again* before team staff pulled him back and took him to the locker room.

Sorry, I was mis spoken. Yes the NFL need to get that stopped so a player cannot come back in the game. The team for allowing that needs harsher penalties than just a monetary fine. But unless you want it he sport to stop, this game is very physical. Hits to the head will happen

Correct me if I’m wrong. But these players are adults. Playing a contact sport. Can’t they decide whether to play after a hit? What’s the NFL going to do when a player refuses treatment and goes back on the field?

I can't believe that with all of the publicity surrounding CTE/brain trauma they allowed that man to continue playing. Whoever didn't foresee the epic backlash for this decision is more brain dead than most retired NFL players

It's part of the game. The media wants to make a big deal out of football when there are jobs where people die or are exposed to unhealthy environments constantly.

First thing is they need to require all players to use a mouthpiece. See to many not using them and the use of a mouthpiece is not just to protect a player from biting their tongue.

I have had a concussion, a bad one. You don’t know you’ve had one and you can fake do stuff. The symptoms actually build over time as the brain swells. They need to require players stay off the field and test after like 30 min. A second concussion in a day is usually fatal.
